The much-loved Little Garden is back, to help support our favourite pollinators.
New World Little Garden are this year supporting bees and butterflies, in a bid to increase pollination and show our beloved environment a little tender loving care.
This year's campaign offers Kiwi supermarket shoppers the chance to collect 23 hand-picked bee-friendly seeds, chosen to not only thrive in local environments but further promote gardening and sustainability within our communities. The aim is simple, to encourage Kiwis of all ages to get out in the garden and grow their very own fresh vege for a truly worthy cause.
"Our focus on bees this year is driven by global pressure on one of the world's hardest working animals," says Foodstuffs' managing director, Steve Anderson.
"Pollinating bees are increasingly affected by pesticides, disease and a lack of vegetation. By distributing literally millions of seeds through Little Garden, we'll be giving bees and butterflies a helping hand."
This year's seedling set includes beetroot, bok choi, kale, silverbeet, onion, butternut, corn, tomato, coriander, oregano, thyme, sunflowers, phacelia, swan plant, pansy, lettuce, sweet pea, cucumber, watermelon, courgette, yellow beans, nasturtium and basil.
New World Little Garden will be available in store from Monday, September 4 until Sunday, October 22, 2017.
This competition has now closed.
