A double shot of goodness

In March, a tropical cyclone wreaked havoc on Vanuatu's coffee industry, prompting a Kiwi coffee company to lend a hand.

All profits from Mojo Coffee's new 'Vanuatu' blend will go towards re-establishing Tanna Island's coffee industry in the aftermath of Tropical Cyclone Pam.

Mojo's founder Steve Gianoutsos realised his company held some of the last beans grown before the storm and decided it "only made sense" to step up and make them count.

"We understand that it was not just coffee crops that were destroyed, it was also the livelihood of coffee farmers on Tanna Island – the very same people we've developed friendships and business relationships with in the past," Steve says.

Around $8 from each 250gram bag will be donated through World Vision New Zealand. The single-origin coffee can be purchased in Mojo Cafés or through Mojo's website.
