Nestled in Canterbury's Port Hills, Otahuna Lodge has launched its 'Lord of the Manor' package, which gives 10 guests full run of the grand Victorian mansion, its grounds and facilities. The package costs NZ$5,995 per night and includes a nightly 5-course degustation dinner matched with New Zealand wines, plus breakfast daily.
Otahuna Lodge was built in 1895 for high profile Canterbury pioneer Sir Heaton Rhodes. It is New Zealand’s largest private historic residence and is considered the best example of Queen Anne architecture in Australasia. Executive Chef Jimmy McIntyre presents dishes created from the best seasonal and local produce, with an emphasis on fresh Otahuna ingredients grown in the Lodge’s own “Garden of National Significance.”
