Showcasing the expertise of chefs from Matakana to Queenstown, the Silver Fern Farms Premier Selection Awards is about chefs going head-to-head to create memorable dining experiences using Silver Fern Farms' premium red meat cuts.
From now until the 31st of October, New Zealanders can dine out at competing restaurants across the country and taste dishes featuring lamb, beef, venison or SILERE alpine origin merino cuts. It's a chance to taste meat at its finest, as the establishments are simultaneously judged by a team of qualified food experts, overseen by Kerry Tyack.
Once the judges have finished tasting across their local area (terrible job!), ten regional finalists will be selected from five regions from the very tip to toe of New Zealand, and announced on the 10th November. The overall winner will be announced on the 3rd of February 2015.
