Pelican Brewery Beer comes to New Zealand
A flight to Oregon is no longer necessary if you want to taste beer from one of the world's finest breweries.
Craft beer drinkers rejoice! Pelican Brewery are now exporting to New Zealand, meaning some of the world's most decorated beers can now be enjoyed without a trek across the ocean to Oregon, though beer devotees might understandably still want to visit the World Beer Cup's Champion Small Brewery.
Open in 1996 in one of the most picturesque locations imaginable, Pelican Brewery sits facing Cape Kiwanda on the pacific coast, on the beach at Pacific City. Head Brewer Darron Welch has long done justice to its location with a steady flow of beautiful beers and prestigious awards. As such, the brewery now has the capacity to export, but at no detriment to quality, testified by their recent 2014 World Beer Cup win.
The beers of Pelican Brewery can be found at Brothers Beer in Auckland and Hashigo Zake in Wellington, and at other establishments supplied by NZ distributor, Beer without Borders. It can also be purchased directly online here.
